A historic comeback was featured at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona as Scott McTominay returned to action for Napoli after a sensitive heart operation. Napoli fans once again felt the strength of their midfield after McTominay came on as a substitute for David Neres in the 61st minute of the match against Frosinone. His return was warmly received by the spectators, a sign of how important he will be in the battle for Serie A this season. The 29-year-old former Manchester United player underwent an ablation procedure last month in Manchester to correct what was discovered to be an irregular heartbeat. After discovering the condition when he was substituted last August in their match against Como, the medical team immediately decided to give him the necessary treatment. Fortunately, the operation was declared a success and he returned to team training, which resulted in his participation in this match. In this game, Kevin de Bruyne and Noa Lang immediately showed up for Napoli. In the first half of the match, De Bruyne won a penalty, while Noa Lang easily scored to give Napoli a 2-0 lead before halftime. Going into the second period, the game saw little tension but McTominay's side were more determined to extend the lead.

Late in the match, De Bruyne connected again after completing Giovane's assists, leading to De Bruyne's second goal and setting up a 3-0 win for Napoli. This win is very important as Napoli have moved up to eighth place in the Serie A standings with 10 points from six games. Aside from the team's success, McTominay's return is really big news. His experience and presence in the middle will surely boost Napoli's ambitions to reach a higher place this season. Upon his return, fans will be hoping that he can show off his all-round talent even more, especially as the battle in the middle of Serie A heats up. Meanwhile, Frosinone will continue to look for a win after the loss, while Massimiliano Allegri's side will be more confident ahead of next week's tougher matches.
