Krasnodar is said to be close to acquiring Brazilian center-back Pedro Henrique from Red Bull Bragantino, according to a report by ESPN Brasil. The report stated that negotiations between the two clubs are progressing smoothly and both sides hope to close the deal as soon as possible. Pedro Henrique is a right-footed central defender with a height of 1.88 meters. Although fixed in a central defensive position, he is known for his physical presence and experience in top-flight football in Brazil. According to Transfermarkt data, his market value is estimated at €3.5 million, although this does not directly reflect the possible transfer fee that clubs will discuss. Henrique is 30 and will turn 31 in October, and has spent his entire career in Brazil. Before Red Bull Bragantino, Henrique has also played for Corinthians, one of the traditional powerhouses in Brazil. At Bragantino—part of the Red Bull football network—he became part of a system known for quick transitions and defensive discipline, experience that will prove useful should his move to Russia finally materialize. For Krasnodar, the addition of a veteran central defender will help strengthen the back line amid a long and grueling league campaign.

In this regard, ESPN also recently reported that Krasnodar was close to acquiring Flamengo winger Everton Soares, but at the last moment the transaction was allegedly blocked by club president Sergey Galitsky. It shows the management's cautious approach to the transfer market—willing to spend but making sure incoming players fit the needs and direction of the team. While there has been no official announcement from Krasnodar and Red Bull Bragantino, it is clear from reports that negotiations for Pedro Henrique are approaching the final stage. If successful, he is expected to bring height, experience in top-level Brazilian football, and added leadership to Krasnodar's defense. Azkals Goal will continue to monitor the progress of the negotiations and any confirmation from both sides. For now, the status of the transfer remains "imminent" according to ESPN Brasil, and the next step is the formal signing and official announcement by the club. As long as the signature isn't there, the possibility of a change remains open—but it's clear that Pedro Henrique is Krasnodar's target to bolster their backline.

What's next

Pedro Henrique's transfer deal to Krasnodar is expected to be closed in the coming days, allowing him to join their pre-season preparations. The addition of a veteran central defense could open up new tactical options for the Krasnodar coach. In the summer transfer window, the club will continue to be active in building their team to be competitive in the league.
