• Lewandowski sul Pallone d'Oro: "Chiaramente dita incrociate per Yamal, ma Olise...".

Robert Lewandowski, now a Chicago Fire striker, has tipped former Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal as the favorite for the next Ballon d'Or. With the same admiration, the Polish star also mentioned Bayern Munich's new signing Michael Olise as among the strongest names in the race for the prestigious award. Lewandowski's perspective carries weight: he was with Yamal at Barcelona when the young winger was just emerging, and he witnessed first-hand how the teenager becomes decisive on the biggest stages. Yamal is known for his combination of speed, dribbling skills, and smart decisions on the last pass—traits that have also been seen throughout Europe in his rise to the international level. Add to that his historic campaign in last year's continental tournament, where he proved he can handle even the pressure of knockout football, so it's only natural to put him at the forefront of the conversation for the Ballon d'Or. At the same time, Lewandowski did not miss the mention of Michael Olise, who quickly made his mark as Bayern Munich's new star. In Bayern's modern attacking system, Olise's profile shines: creative between the lines, aggressive in attacking from the flanks, and capable of creating his own set or creating for teammates. If this level of influence continues in matches in Germany and Europe, he will logically enter serious discussion for the individual award.

The Ballon d'Or, awarded annually by France Football, now focuses on an entire season of club and international football—a new format that increasingly invests in consistent contributions in league, domestic cups and European matches, as well as in national competitions. That means the rest of the season and the big matches at the end—semifinals, finals, and do-or-die nights in Europe—often set the polling pulse among journalists. In the context of the above, both Yamal and Olise are on the checklist: high level of individual quality, clear roles in their teams, and potential to impact the title. For Yamal, added credit is being key to the rise and shaping of a new generation in Barcelona and the national team. As for Olise, the opportunity to deliver statement performances under the lights of Bayern—a club that is always on the championship scene—may further elevate his candidacy. For followers, the message from a veteran like Lewandowski is clear: keep a close eye on Yamal and Olise's every move in the coming months. The award line is still uncertain, but if consistency and impact are the basis, there are two wingers at the top who can both change the course of the match in an instant.

What's next

As the season progresses, Lamine Yamal is expected to continue to be the center of attention in La Liga, while Michael Olise will continue his development in the Bundesliga. The performances of these players can affect their chances at the Ballon d'Or and their clubs. Fans and pundits will be sure to monitor their performance in the upcoming matches, while discussions regarding potential awards will continue to rage.
