After Sanat Naft Abadan won against Aluminum Arak in their first game after the sacking of Mohammad Nouri, new coach Seyed Siroos Pourmousavi shared a clear assessment of the state of the team. According to him, the main reason for the success is the hard work and guidance of the players inside the ground. According to him, they had little opportunity to rehearse many tactics before the match so they intensified the mental aspect and motivation: the intensity of the players' running and dedication brought them a positive result. Pourmousavi also acknowledged the quality of opponents Aluminum Arak and said that labeling them a good team does not detract from the victory. However, given Sanat Naft's position in the table — a team in the bottom half of the league — a win on their home ground is crucial to stay out of danger. The coach also identified the challenges he faces when it comes to the club's structure. He revealed that even before signing to manage the team he was not the first choice, and that there were financial issues that needed to be sorted out. According to him, when players' wages are not paid, their brain condition is affected and it becomes an obstacle to the work of the coaching staff.

Club officials assured that they will do their best to resolve the financial problems. Because of this, Pourmousavi will temporarily focus on improving the tactical aspect and physical condition of the group. His statement is clear that at this time signing a new player is not practical: "Signing is not yet possible, and it is unlikely that we will find someone who can help us at this stage," he said. He plans to use the offseason to seriously think about strengthening the team. On the matter of relegation, he vehemently denied that his own team was thinking of relegation. He urged the players to fight until the last week of the league and not lose hope because they have an obligation to the fans. He also turned his attention to the next match: a difficult visitor to Tractor in Tabriz. The coach knows that it will be very difficult to play against Tractor in their territory and in front of their home crowd, but he promised that they will not back down and will do everything to get a point. All in all, Pourmousavi's aim is clear: to keep the momentum from the win, fix the problem within the club as best as possible, and improve the tactics and condition of the players while waiting for the opening of the window for possible new signings in the mid-season.

What's next

It is expected that Sanat Naft Abadan will continue their efforts to maintain the momentum from their win. However, they have to face financial challenges and the lack of new players, which may affect their performance in the next matches. Club officials have given a promise to do everything to solve these problems.
