Besiktas have strongly denied reports that Mohamed Salah is on his way to them. According to reports in Turkey, the Egyptian star's side and the Istanbul-based club have reached a personal agreement. Besiktas denied this in a statement on Saturday, where it was emphasized that such information is untrue and only misleading to their supporters. In a statement released, Besiktas questioned the credibility of the reports and specifically referred to the posts of journalist Yagız Sabuncuoğlu. According to the club, the details shared about the alleged transfer process and conditions discussed are "pure imagination" and "have no relation to reality." The excitement of many supporters is rooted in the fact that Salah is one of the Premier League's biggest stars and has long been Liverpool's main weapon. Naturally, any link he has with another club—especially with a traditional Turkish powerhouse like Besiktas—would cause a stir. But the club clarified that it has no basis and nothing should be expected of such a move until there is an official announcement. Besiktas also emphasized that they will continue to share the most accurate and clear information about their transfer activities only through their own communications—official website and verified social media accounts. This is their repeated reminder in the midst of a heated transfer season where rumors and speculations spread quickly. At the moment, Besiktas' position is clear: there is no agreement between them and Mohamed Salah. As the window continues, it will remain important for fans to lean on the clubs official statement to avoid false hope. For the Besiktas side, the message is straightforward—don't believe anything that doesn't come from their official channel. For Salah's part, there is no indication that his future has changed based on this report, and the story remains a dismissed rumour.

What's next

Despite the rumours, Besiktas continue to focus on their goals of player development and strengthening their squad. The club are expected to continue their search for suitable midfield signings in the upcoming summer transfer window. While supporters are still hoping for new faces, Besiktas emphasized that their official announcements are what fans should expect.
