According to Tuttomercatoweb.

Context

Costantino Favasuli is an important part of Catanzaro, and his move to Napoli exposes the potential progression of players from Serie B to Serie A. The registration of Candela shows a proactive move by Catanzaro to maintain their defensive lineup, which is crucial to their goal of achieving success in the league.

Why it matters

The departure of Costantino Favasuli to Napoli was an important step in his career, marking his progression from Serie B to the higher level of football in Serie A. His departure allowed Catanzaro to recruit a new right-back, Candela, who will be essential for their defensive strategy in the coming season. Such moves in the transfer market show the continued development of players and clubs in Italy.

Key Points

• Catanzaro added at right back: Candela registered.
• Catanzaro has officially registered Candela to fill the gap at right back as Costantino Favasuli is expected to leave for Napoli in Serie A.
• Catanzaro, ecco il rinforzo sulla destra: tesserato il terzino Candela.

Confirmation reported: Catanzaro added a new one on the right side of the defense after registering the third Candela. The move comes in response to the expected departure of Costantino Favasuli, who is rumored to be heading to Serie A side Napoli. The signing of Candela is a clear move by Catanzaro to maintain balance at their right-back. In Serie B competition, it's important for a team to have deep options at every position—especially in areas that are often affected by injury or speculation in the transfer market. Although the details of the contract or Candela's former club were not released by the source, the goal of the giallorossi is clear: secure an immediate alternative in the right-back position. Costantino Favasuli, also mentioned in the report, is expected to leave Catanzaro to contribute to Napoli in Serie A. His possible move to the highest level of Italian football will leave a gap in Catanzaro's starting XI, so the registration of Candela complements the need to fill the position before the league competition deepens.

For Catanzaro supporters, the addition of a new right-back should provide reassurance—not just as a direct replacement, but as increased competition within the squad. In a long Serie B campaign, strength on the bench and ability to rotate players often becomes the key to achieving good results and avoiding relegation or having a tired series. The official announcement did not comment on the terms of the registration or Candela's role in the immediate coaching scheme. However, the natural expectation is that he will begin to handle duties on the right flank—walking between defense and supporting attack—while awaiting final confirmation on the outcome of Favasuli's possible move to Napoli. Fans and our coverage will stay tuned for any official details from both clubs—especially if Favasuli will indeed be signed by Napoli and how Catanzaro's new tactical arrangement will play out in the upcoming Serie B matches. Signing Candela is clearly the team's first step in providing security on the right side of the defense.

What's next

Catanzaro are expected to be active in the summer transfer window to ensure their competitiveness in Serie B. The signing of Candela is a step to fill the gap that Favasuli will leave, but the club may still need to add other midfield signings to strengthen their squad. The next few weeks will be important for Catanzaro to properly position themselves in the league.
