Spain Tied Argentina and Netherlands for 4+ Goal Wins in World Cup History
Spain registered their fifth win with four or more goals in FIFA World Cup history after victory over Saudi Arabia at the 2026 World Cup, following Argentina and the Netherlands.
The Spanish national team has made new history after its dominant win against Saudi Arabia, 4-0, in the FIFA World Cup 2026. As a result, Spain has won the World Cup five times in which they have only scored four or more goals—equal to the record of Argentina and the Netherlands.
According to sports analyst MisterChip, Spain has tied the record of Argentina and the Netherlands (5 wins with a 4+ goal advantage) and surpassed Uruguay and Russia, with only four each. Germany leads the record with 12 such wins, followed by Brazil (8) and Hungary (7).
