Fiorentina, transfer window activity to be attended to

According to Tuttomercatoweb.

Context

Fabio Paratici, as Fiorentina's sporting director, has a major role in shaping the club's future in Serie A. His plans for the transfer market focus on improving the squad through strategic signings, which can affect player development and overall team performance.

Why it matters

Fabio Paratici's activity in the transfer market is important for Fiorentina, who are currently second from last in Serie A. Adding quality in midfield and defense could be key to avoid relegation and improve their league position. These moves show the club's determination to rise and compete with the higher levels of Serie A football.

Key Points

• Fiorentina, activity in the transfer window will be attended to.
• Consolidated movement in the upcoming winter transfer window is expected at Fiorentina, with Fabio Paratici's plans to add strength in midfield and defence, as well as talk of Dodo's departure.
• Fiorentina, Paratici non ha ancora finito: chi può uscire e chi può entrare a gennaio.

Fabio Paratici's plans to completely transform and improve Fiorentina are back on track ahead of the upcoming transfer window this January. After sweeping action last summer, the sporting director is now pushing for the necessary steps to break the team's slump at the bottom of the Serie A standings. Fiorentina are currently in second place from last, making them even more desperate to add quality and depth to the line-up. Management first focuses on the middle position. It will be remembered that last summer Coach Fabio Grosso asked for a player with Matic's style—a solid and experienced anchor. One of the targets Paratici is reviving is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who was previously reported to be on their shortlist. Marseille's decline in performance could also provide an opportunity to carry out this negotiation—especially since Marseille also needs a sale. In defense, Paratici sponsored target Tiago Gabriel of Lecce. However, the possible acquisition of him is complicated due to the demand and position of Lecce. The defense plays an important role as Fiorentina is currently one of the most conceded goals in the league, so it is not impossible that the management will do everything to add strength to it.

The goalkeeper's position is also not safe. De Gea has been hotly criticized for some unfavorable performances so it is possible that Fiorentina will consider adding a rival or back-up keeper to increase the healthy competition in the position. In the list of those who could leave, central here is Dodo, the Brazilian wingback whose contract is set until 2027. He is the main talk of a possible transfer but if it doesn't go through, it is possible that the contract will be extended, which will result in the congestion of options on the right and lead to the possible early return of Joao Mario from his loan. There is also doubt about Marin Pongracic, who after having less playing time and losing the competition to Dragusin, has only been used twice as a starter this season. Because of this, Pongracic could be included in the list of those looking for a new team in January. All in all, Paratici and the whole of Fiorentina will be busy in the coming weeks to advance the team's position in Serie A and bring it back to a higher level.

What's next

Negotiations are expected to continue for target players such as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tiago Gabriel. These moves could open up opportunities for new midfield signings and strengthening the defense. With the winter transfer window approaching, Paratici's decisions will be critical in building a stronger team for the rest of the season.
