Harry Wilson signs for Leeds as a free agent

Harry Wilson has agreed to join Leeds United as a free agent when his Fulham contract expires next week, reports David Ornstein of The Athletic.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Harry Wilson has agreed to move to Leeds United as a free agent when his Fulham contract expires next week. They said Leeds were surprised by the lack of competition from other teams for a player of this quality and competitive record.
The 29-year-old Wales international has recorded 10 goals and 7 assists in a total of 36 Premier League appearances for Fulham during the 2025–26 season. Fulham reportedly offered him a new contract, but Wilson turned it down.

This is not the first time Leeds have sought Wilson. Last summer, an agreement was reached between Leeds and Fulham on the last day of the transfer window, but the paperwork was not submitted in time and the transaction continued to fail. Both sides sparred publicly over who was to blame for the deal's collapse.
Wilson comes from Liverpool's academy and usually plays as a right-winger or as a central attacking midfielder. He has struggled to last long in Liverpool's first team as Jurgen Klopp rarely uses a traditional number 10 and Mohamed Salah has long occupied the right side of attack. Before finally moving permanently to Fulham in 2022, Wilson spent time on loan at six different clubs.
This move will give Leeds an additional option in attack and midfield, while Wilson will end his time at Fulham and prepare for a new phase of his career at Elland Road.
