James Rodríguez: I admire Cristiano Ronaldo — A great example
James Rodríguez says he remains in touch with Cristiano Ronaldo and admires the Portuguese's professionalism, following their time as players at Real Madrid.
James Rodríguez, player of the Colombian national team, said that his relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo remains and expressed his admiration for the Portuguese for his unsurpassed professionalism.
"Cristiano Ronaldo and I talk. He is a great friend and a wonderful person. When we played at Real, I often went to his house," said Rodríguez, as quoted by Olé newspaper.

Both the Portugal national team and Colombia continue their campaign towards the FIFA World Cup 2026, both involved in the later stages of the tournament.
