Wales U21 goalkeeper Kit Margetson close to a move to Manchester United
19-year-old Wales Under-21 goalkeeper Kit Margetson is expected to leave Swansea City for Manchester United, who are likely to pay a compensation fee for his signing.
19-year-old Wales Under-21 goalkeeper Kit Margetson is expected to leave Swansea City for a transfer to Manchester United.
He is the son of Swansea's former head of goalkeeping, Martyn Margetson, who left his role at the end of last season. Kit joined Swansea's academy as an under-15 and although he has yet to record a first-team appearance for the Championship side, he has had regular senior football on loan at Connah's Quay Nomads in 2025-26.

However, the young goalkeeper is expected to leave and Manchester United will likely pay a compensation fee to acquire his services.
This is another step for United in finding young players and strengthening their pipeline of goalies. For Swansea, they will lose a product of their academy if the move goes through.
