Kean's cryptic post: "It may be too late to be first

According to Tuttomercatoweb.

Context

Moise Kean, a 26-year-old striker, currently plays for Fiorentina in Serie A. His performance and progress at the club has been the center of attention, especially in transfer talks, as his potential move to Como moves closer to reality. The negotiations present challenges in the transfer market, especially in finding the right replacement for him.

Why it matters

Moise Kean's cryptic post has highlighted his uncertain future at Fiorentina, sparking speculation in the transfer market. Como's interest in him suggests a potential move, but Fiorentina's asking price seems high, putting pressure on negotiations. Such situations are common in the summer transfer window, where clubs adjust their rosters for next season.

Key Points

• Kean's cryptic post: "It may be too late to be first.
• Moise Kean fueled transfer rumors after releasing a cryptic Instagram post; Como is interested, but Fiorentina are asking €40–45M and want to find a replacement first.
• Post cryptic di Kean: "Tardi per essere il tuo primo, mi preparo per essere il tuo ultimo".

Talks about Moise Kean's future reignited after he posted a cryptic video on Instagram with a caption translated into Italian: "Forse è troppo tardi per essere il tuo primo. Ma in questo momento mi sto preparando a essere il tuo ultimo." The message, along with replays of his moves at Fiorentina, immediately sparked mixed reactions from fans — some challenging him to stay in Firenze while others hoping to see him at another club. Speculation is increasing as the Fiorentina striker is also at the center of reports that Como is interested in buying. According to our source, director Fabio Paratici has set a price of between €40–45 million for Viola number 9. A summit is scheduled between Fiorentina and Como for the next day to try to agree on a possible transfer fee. But Fiorentina are not immediately agreeing to a sale — the impression around the club is that they are willing to let Kean go if and when the right replacement is found. It has been reported that after the first attempt for Santiago Castro failed, Mateo Pellegrino and Lorenzo Lucca are on the violas' radar as possible targets to replace the attack section; the two now play for Parma and Napoli, according to the report.

It's also important to note Kean's current momentum. The 26-year-old is recovering from a series of health problems last season — he managed to score in the big match against Real Madrid, a goal that helped Fiorentina come back to 2-2. After the said game, he was praised by José Mourinho, who he said referred to him as "un mostro" — a clear recognition of the striker's quality. Currently, this story revolves around three main elements: the cryptic post itself that is heating up the conversation, Como's active interest in seeking a settlement, and Fiorentina's insistence on first finding a replacement before any sale is made. For the fans, Kean's future remains open: it is possible that he stays and continues as part of the Fiorentina project, or could even move if Como or other interested parties meet the asking price and if the viola finds an alternative signer. We will continue to monitor the talks between the clubs and any official announcement regarding Kean's status. Until the official confirmation, the details will remain speculative and it is important to wait for the official statement from the involved parties.

What's next

A summit is scheduled between Fiorentina and Como to discuss Kean's possible transfer. Fiorentina seem willing to negotiate, but first want to find a replacement before letting go of their striker for good. Names like Mateo Pellegrino and Lorenzo Lucca are emerging as possible targets for midfield signings who could replace Kean in their attack.
