Lots of moves at Torino: talks with Lecce for Falcone; Mascardi may be a vice

There is a lot of movement in the Torino goalkeepers line. According to a report by Tuttosport, the granata team is actively looking for a new estremo defender for next season and Wladimiro Falcone of Lecce is the main target.

It is believed that Trinchera's arrival in the position of Lecce's technical director could open the way for Falcone's transfer to be discussed. The 31-year-old Lecce goalkeeper is considered Torino's first choice, and a possible offer could figure into future negotiations.

The market estimate for Falcone is around 5 million euros, but one of the keys to push through the operation is the possible transfer of Alieu Njie. The 21-year-old Njie—who had one goal in 15 appearances last campaign—is also on Lecce's radar, but the situation is currently on hold. Ignazio Abate intends to evaluate Njie in the pre-season before making a final decision.

Torino has no shortage of alternatives for the goalkeeper position. Sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has the names of Livakovic, who is currently representing Croatia at the World Cup and could leave Fenerbahce, and Lorenzo Montipò, who could be on the exit list from Verona due to relegation.

There is also a deal going to La Spezia for Diego Mascardi. If the signing of Mascardi is successful, he will compete—along with Alberto Paleari, who will be on the confirmed list—for the vice-goalkeeper position at Torino.

All in all, Torino are busy finding a solution to their goalkeeper roster and a series of transactions could unfold in the coming weeks as they try to close a possible deal for Falcone.
