AC Milan continue to make their mark in the new transfer window with their aim to intensify the creativity within the midfield for the upcoming Serie A season. Under new coach Ruben Amorim, the direction of the management is clear: add a left-footed trequartista to give the team a unique quality and imagination, especially in his 3-4-2-1 system. Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri himself is considered the main target on Milan's list. The 17-year-old English midfielder is known in Europe as one of the most promising youngsters in his position. According to reports, Milan have already started early exploratory talks with Arsenal to discuss a possible move for Nwaneri. There is a lot of interest from the "Rossoneri," but there is also stiff competition from Fulham, Everton, and RB Leipzig, teams also hoping to land the said talent. Arsenal's youngster's valuation is estimated to be at least 35 million euros. One of Milan's plans is to offer a deal that includes Arsenal's option to get Nwaneri back in the future, an option that English clubs usually do. Milan's plan is not only around Nwaneri. Still on the team's short list is Franco Mastantuono, a promising youngster who is now also on Real Madrid's radar. Real wanted to just loan Mastantuono, but Milan insisted on including the right to buy should the player succeed in their loan spell.

In addition, Milan is also monitoring the situation of Matias Soulé from Roma, another attacking midfielder who is also said to be possible to land in Milan if the right opportunity arises. Meanwhile, on the side of the exits, the tension about Rafael Leão remains. Both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray from Turkey are showing interest, but none of them have yet met Milan's transfer demands, which amount to at least 50 million euros. As long as the price and personal terms are not agreed upon, Leão will remain one of the most important assets of the "Rossoneri." Milan's agenda is clear: find youth and quality that will bring a higher level of play, ready to compete in Serie A and other European competitions. Currently, Milan tifosi are looking forward to which of these targets will wear the red and black uniform next season.

What's next

Milan are expected to continue their exploratory talks with Arsenal for Nwaneri, while also keeping their options open with other targets such as Franco Mastantuono and Matias Soulé. The summer transfer window will be critical for Milan, especially considering their aim to secure the right midfield signing. Competition from other clubs could speed up their decision in the coming weeks.
