In a press conference, Pierozzi explained his perspective on his terzino position, and emphasized that this is where he is comfortable and effectively contributes to the team's offense. He said, "The terzino is really my natural position. This is where I can show my ability in attack and defense." Aside from the personal challenge, he also gives a lot of trust to coach Inzaghi, who for Pierozzi is one of those who helped him grow as a player. "Coach Inzaghi and I have a good relationship and trust. I hope that our relationship as mentor and player will continue for a long time," added Pierozzi. The Palermo defense also emphasized the importance of preseason training: "The first twenty days are important to build resistance and prepare the body. Although the training camp is difficult, the clear weather helps." He also shared that the atmosphere in the team is positive, as the competition in each position pushes everyone to give their best.

One of the things to look forward to this season is the possibility of him facing his brother Edoardo Pierozzi who is in Benevento. "I've been waiting for that match for a long time. It's a good feeling to have brothers face each other in the professional league, and the competition will definitely be more intense because we don't want to lose to each other," Pierozzi said. Although Palermo scored 72 points last season—usually enough for promotion—Pierozzi admitted they still have some work to do. "We have to learn to be sharper in dealing with crucial situations and should not stumble in important games," he said. He also pointed out that if they can surpass the quality of their last match against Catanzaro in the whole season, he said that there are few teams that can match them. At the start of the campaign, Pierozzi remained highly confident that Palermo had a solid foundation. But to bring home better results, they need to be more practical and effective especially in extreme situations.
