According to Tuttomercatoweb.

Context

Issiaka Kamaté, a young player from Inter's Under-23s, is considered an important addition to Palermo's squad. His ability to play in different attacking positions gives flexibility to Inzaghi's tactics, aiming for better performances in Serie B.

Why it matters

The signing of Issiaka Kamaté could bring a big impact to the attack of Palermo, who are currently looking to improve their performance in Serie B. His pace and ability to create chances matches Filippo Inzaghi's need for a more balanced offense, especially after their previous 2-2 draw. With the addition of new players, Palermo's season outlook seems more positive.

Key Points

• Palermo, Kamaté is getting closer — confidence is growing in the conversation with Inter.
• Palermo's intention to reinforce the right side of the attack continues: they are actively in talks with Inter for Issiaka Kamaté while they are also looking for an alternative on the left flank.
• Palermo, Kamaté si avnica: cresce la fiducia nell'accordo con l'Inter.

Palermo are speeding up talks to secure Issiaka Kamaté as part of a boost to their attack ahead of the final phase of summer preparations. According to the report, Palermo and Inter are in constant contact and there is growing optimism that the deal will be finalized within the next few days. Gathering new small pieces in the attack became a priority after the 2-2 draw against Nuremberg, a test match that was sparked by goals from Joel Pohjanpalo and Jacopo Segre. The game gave Filippo Inzaghi a clearer need: complete the wing positions in a 4-2-3-1 system that is a big part of the coach's plan this pre-season. Issiaka Kamaté, born in 2004 and coming from Inter's Under-23s, is considered a youngster with pace, technique and unpredictability on the flank. He can play as a traditional winger, trequartista or an out wide full-winger providing wide tactical options. His ability to attack deep, dribble against an opponent and create numerical superiority matches what Inzaghi is looking for in his options on the right.

After the failed arrival of Emanuele Rao, the management of Palermo intensified the dialogues with Inter for Kamaté. The most advanced negotiations remain between the two clubs for the priority of closing the deal, as they simultaneously assess the timing to deliver the new player before the final squad confirmation for the league. Palermo's market will not stop at just one position: besides Kamaté, the club is also looking for an alternative to Dennis Johnsen on the left flank to increase competition and quality on the wings. The aim of the management is to give Inzaghi more options and more stable roster depth for the Serie B series and for this upcoming season's campaign. All in all, it is clear that Palermo is promoting an active transfer window: they are pushing to get small, dynamic players who can play in different positions up front. Resuming talks with Inter for Kamaté is the strongest sign yet that they are ready to add a new high-profile player already familiar with Italian football. Image credit: TMW
