Savoia are said to be close to acquiring Giuseppe D'Agostino from Giugliano, according to a report by TuttoMercatoWeb. The newly-promoted Serie C side are in the final stages of negotiations for the 2003-born young attacker, who came through Napoli's youth system and has played at Giugliano for the past two seasons. A two-year contract looms for D'Agostino when talks finally close. For Savoia, this type of market move is an important piece as they prepare to compete at a higher level. Newly-promoted teams typically build a deeper, younger rotation to keep up with the physical and tactical challenges of Serie C, and D'Agostino's profile fits this as an attacker with a strong academy background. His forging through Napoli's youth ranks is indicative of an early foundation in technical and tactical aspects, while his two years of experience in senior football with Giugliano gives him added strength in the competition.

Other details of the talks have not been disclosed, but the report is clear that a deal is close and a two-year contract is in place. If realized, D'Agostino is expected to add to Savoia's forward options—either as a primary option or as an impact substitute—depending on the coaching staff's plans. At the Serie C level, having a young attacker with energy and a willingness to press is a big deal, especially in matches where you need to be aggressive in attack but disciplined at the back. As for Giugliano, D'Agostino's departure could potentially open up space for other players in the third part of the pitch, as they continue to adjust their own formation for the upcoming season. In the Campania region—where Napoli, Savoia, and Giugliano all have their roots—the transfer market is close-knit, and teams are focused on building a viable roster capable of racking up points over long stretches of the league. Pending formal confirmation, Savoia is positioned to complete another important offseason signing. If the transfer goes through, it will show a clear direction: youth, pace and depth in attack to cement a stay in Serie C and, with luck, surprise some of the more durable camps in the league. Azkals Goal will stay tuned for the official announcement and other contract details as soon as the teams release them.

What's next

A deal for D'Agostino is expected to close soon, with a two-year contract in place. His experience in senior football will help build a competitive team in Serie C.
