AS Roma are now busy strengthening their entire squad for the upcoming season. The management is not only focused on strengthening their attack but also filling the gaps in the defense, particularly the fullback position. This follows the departure of Zeki Celik, one of the regular players in that position last season. According to reports from the Roma camp, Coach Gian Piero Gasperini made it clear that it is important to find a replacement immediately to maintain the balance and quality of the defense. One of the touted candidates is Savona, who is being reconsidered by the club to become the new fullback. Savona's inclusion in the list has given Roma followers hope that their defense will regain its strength and resilience. The fullback position is important not only in covering the dangerous attacks of the opponent but also in sustaining the support in quick transitions in the midfield and starting the offensive from the back. In the system implemented by Gasperini, it is important to have a modern fullback who not only defends well but also knows how to step up and help in the attack.
