Context

Víctor Parada, a 24-year-old left back, played 33 games for Alavés last season, where he contributed three assists. His current contract with Alavés is set to expire in the summer of 2029, so a move to Spartak would require proper negotiations between the two clubs.

Why it matters

Víctor Parada's move to Spartak Moscow could change their defense, especially as he is a promising left back. In his last season at Alavés, he showed a knack for creating chances, which will help Spartak's player development in Russian Premier League football. Having a new midfield signing is vital for their ambitions next season.

Key Points

• According to AS report, Spartak are closing in on the signing of Víctor Parada from Alavés for €6 million, with a planned contract until 2030 and possibly joining the club's camp next week.
• Victor Parada remains central to Spartak's plans.

Spartak Moscow are close to completing a new transfer after AS reported that the Russian club are in talks for Víctor Parada, the 24-year-old left-back acrobat from Alavés. According to a report by journalist Jorge García for AS, it is estimated that Spartak will spend around €6 million to acquire the player. The transaction, if completed as reported, would put Parada under a contract that runs until 2030 with the new club. It is also being reported that he could join Spartak's training and camp next week if the final details of the transfer are settled. Last season, Víctor Parada made 33 appearances in all competitions for Alavés and contributed three assists. His existing contract with Alavés is scheduled to run until the summer of 2029, so a potential transfer would require an agreement between the two clubs to finish the remaining period of the agreement.

Portal Transfermarkt, on the other hand, puts Parada's market at around €4 million, which is lower than the €6 million mentioned in the AS report. This gap between the estimate and the reported fee is usually part of the negotiation—it can widen due to charges, add-ons, and other conditions that clubs base on. Neither Spartak Moscow nor Deportivo Alavés have officially confirmed the deal, so it will remain a report until a formal announcement is made. However, Spartak's interest in a 24-year-old left-back matches the need of many big clubs to add young defenders who have the potential to grow and adjust to a higher level. For Alavés, the departure of a regular player such as Parada will await further information on how they will fill the possible vacancy. As for Spartak, a quick transfer arrangement could give time to integrate the new signing into pre-season preparation. AS reports advises to keep an eye on the next few days as the transition could be completed quickly. Azkals Goal will continue to monitor any official announcement from the clubs and will provide an update as soon as there is a confirmed statement.

What's next

If the transfer details go well, Parada is expected to join Spartak's training camp next week. The deal requires an agreement between Spartak and Alavés to finish the remaining period of his contract. The summer transfer window provides an opportunity for clubs to continue with their squad-building plans, and signing Parada is a step towards this.
