USMNT, made history with 24 million viewers in victory against Bosnia in World Cup 2026
The US Men's National Team set a new viewership record with their win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, reaching more than 24 million viewers on Fox Sports.
The US Men's National Team (USMNT) made new history after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2-0, in the Round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup 2026. According to Fox Sports, 24.429 million people watched the televised match—the highest viewership recorded for an English-language football match in the history of the United States.
This surpassed the previous record of more than 18 million achieved by the USMNT in their opening match against Paraguay in the group stage. It even reached a peak of 31.883 million simultaneous viewers around 9:45 to 10 p.m., which coincided with the end of the match.

Despite this, the US successfully won their most intense match at the World Cup knockout stage in more than two decades.
This is the first time since 2002 that the USMNT has made it to the knockout round of the World Cup. That year, they made it all the way to the quarterfinals, the highest America has ever reached in the tournament. With the current team's enthusiasm and talent, their supporters will be hoping that they can repeat or even surpass their previous success.
They next face Belgium, who defeated them, 5-2, in a friendly match in March. But now the stakes are higher and they will face a new challenge on the global stage.
