Vincenzo Italiano will soon become the new coach of Besiktas after the club's delegation and the Italian tactician came to an agreement; expected to sign a two-year contract tomorrow.
Vincenzo Italiano's path to Besiktas looks set after he saw off competition from Laurent Blanc. According to a Sky Sport report, the team delegation from Turkey arrived in Rome today and has reached an agreement in principle for a two-year contract.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the 48-year-old coach will sign tomorrow. Once the contract is formalized, the Italiano will leave Serie A and begin his new phase on the Besiktas bench — including preparing for the Europa League preliminaries set for the future.

Before the possible move, Italiano had a run in Serie A as coach of Spezia, Fiorentina, and most recently Bologna. In recent years with Bologna, he won the Coppa Italia, while at Fiorentina he suffered two defeats in the finals of the UEFA Conference League and one defeat in the final of the Coppa Italia.
Besiktas' potential takeover of Italiano would provide the Italian coach with a new challenge outside of Italy — also a test of his Europa League abilities. There has been no official statement from Besiktas or from Italiano's mismatch leadership at the time of this report.
