Jocelyn Blanchard, former centrocampista of Juventus, directly expressed his concern about the current state of the club bianconero. In an interview with TuttoJuve.com, he referred to the impact of not qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League—in addition, the loss of revenues and the attractiveness of the club that comes with Europe's highest competition.
"Continuity is needed in the project, changing every year is not the solution," said Blanchard. He added that at the moment the work at the club is not satisfying and he hopes this is the beginning of better days for Juventus.
Blanchard also referred to coach Spalletti's question about taking five or six high-level players. "Yes, Juventus is no longer equal to his status," said Blanchard. But he also asked: does the company still have enough talent, work and money to restore the club as a big name in Europe and Italy?

While the mercato has not yet officially opened, it is noted that some hopes seem to be fading: there are talks that seem to be ending for Alisson, Bernardo Silva and Robertson. "If Juventus in the past could take them? Sure. But the Juventus then is not the Juventus now," he continued.
For Blanchard, the solution isn't just to jump into big purchases without a clear project. According to him, the club must redefine itself and develop a plan in the medium and long term. From an external perspective, it is still difficult to define the new identity and philosophy of Juventus.
All in all, Blanchard's message is clear: Juventus needs strong direction and continuity to once again be worthy of its history and supremacy in Italian and European football.
