Brahim Díaz's World Cup could decide his future as Juventus and Inter eye the Real Madrid star

Brahim Díaz's performance for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup could be key to his future at the club — both Juventus and Inter Milan are keeping tabs while Real Madrid are also monitoring the situation.

Brahim Díaz's performances for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup could weigh heavily in deciding his future at the club, according to reports. Both Juventus and Inter Milan are watching the situation as the Real Madrid attacker arrives in North America after being recognized as the player of the tournament in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The report states that Brahim's first match at the Mundial will be against Brazil — which will see him reunite with his former coach Carlo Ancelotti. Despite fierce competition in attack at the Bernabéu and the arrival of new coach José Mourinho, Brahim's wish is clear: stay at Real Madrid.

According to the report, Real Madrid will wait to sort out Mastantuono's issue and the future of his loan before formally reviewing the composition of their attack. If Brahim performs well at the World Cup, it will go a long way in strengthening his case to stay at the Spanish club.

Repubblica also reported that Inter discussed in a meeting between Beppe Marotta and Florentino Pérez five potential targets from Real Madrid: Mastantuono, Endrick, Arda Guler, Rodrygo and Brahim Díaz. Of these five, Brahim is considered to be the most difficult to get, while it has been revealed that there is existing talk about the possibility of extending his contract until 2030.

Meanwhile, Juventus have expressed their interest to be the first to take Brahim seriously. Spalletti is recognized as a fan of the player and is regarded as the ideal attacking midfielder to fit into the coach's plans this summer. Contacts were said to have taken place before Damien Comolli left, but the player did not show an open attitude about the move.

For now, any serious approach by interested teams will require a change of position from Real Madrid — a team that could be distracted by the abundance of talent on display throughout the 48-team tournament. The 2026 World Cup could possibly be the last big stage for Brahim to influence his club future.
