Parma, Cherubini congratulates Malagò: "His leadership is important for Italian football"

Parma has extended its congratulations to Giovanni Malagò after he was elected as the new president of the FIGC, who is expected to bring change to football in Italy.

The Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) turned a new page after Giovanni Malagò was elected as the new president of the association. Malagò, former president of CONI, won the position with 68.58% of the vote, beating Giancarlo Abete who got only 29.17%.

Several Serie A teams, including Parma Calcio, expressed their support and congratulations to Malagò. According to Parma CEO Federico Cherubini, "I would like to extend, also on behalf of President Kyle J. Krause, our sincere congratulations to President Giovanni Malagò for his new and prestigious role. We believe that his experience, leadership, and deep understanding of the world of sports will be an important investment for the future of Italian football, especially in times of change and development."

Cherubini added, Parma Calcio is ready to give full support and cooperate with the FIGC leadership, for the sake of strengthening and modernizing the football system in Italy. He also expressed the desire to continue the open dialogue and collective progress under the leadership of President Malagò.
