Roma will prioritize Keinan Davis; Udinese are preparing for a big departure this summer
Roma are making Keinan Davis their main target to bolster Gian Piero Gasperini's attack, while Udinese are facing the possible departures of Davis, Oumar Solet, Thomas Kristensen and Nicolo Zaniolo this summer.
Roma are considering Anglo-Jamaican striker Keinan Davis as their main target, according to reports, under new sporting director Tony D'Amico. Davis is seen as the right profile to give coach Gian Piero Gasperini deeper options in attack, after the center scored 10 goals in 30 matches last season—a production that cemented his reputation as one of Serie A's most effective centre-forwards.
According to Tutto Udinese, Davis is at the top of D'Amico's wishlist for a position up front—a huge confirmation of the value of a player who has adapted slowly in Italy but now has strong evidence of quality at the highest level.
At the same time, Udinese are gearing up for a summer that could see them leave in large numbers. Aside from Davis, Oumar Solet's transfer to Inter is expected to be unstoppable, while Thomas Kristensen has reportedly attracted enough admiration for the club to worry about. Nicolo Zaniolo—who was recently bought from Galatasaray—has publicly expressed his frustration with the club's refusal to raise his wages and is actively considering his options.
In this context, the Friulian club will face a formidable challenge this summer. And if Davis were to lose on top of all this, it would be a huge blow for Udinese.
