The former French goal machine, Thierry Henry, was completely amazed by Erling Haaland's performance in the FIFA World Cup 2026, after Norway's successful victory against Brazil, 2-1. The net shook twice as Haaland tallied the goals, allowing Norway to advance to the quarter-finals and eliminate Brazil as many expected. "It's not about the big names but the collective performance as a team," Henry said after the match aired on Fox Sports. "Norway, led by coach Stale Solbakken, showed Carlo Ancelotti and Brazil how important discipline and defense are. They even dominated Brazil in this match," added Henry. The former striker also did not hide his surprise at how Brazil - considered favorites - failed to match the skill and determination of the Norwegians. The football world is also very amazed at what is happening in this tournament. In Henry's commentary, he looked back at Cape Verde's recent success as proof that competition in world football is expanding. But now, Norway is the star again by raising the level of the game, with the help of Haaland.

For Haaland, who now has seven goals in his first World Cup, it was testament to his natural instincts in front of goal. "If there is an opportunity or two, it often turns into a goal. I don't know how, but that's the way I am. You always have to be focused and know what to do when the opportunity comes," said the Manchester City striker. As the next challenge, Norway will face the winner between Mexico and England on Saturday, July 11 for a place in the semifinals. With this victory for Norway, the belief that nothing is impossible in football has been revived, and Haaland has made it clear that he is one of the hottest names at this year's World Cup.
