Westerlo rejected Rangers' initial €2.5m offer for Bryan Reynolds
Westerlo have matched Rangers' initial bid of around €2.5m for Bryan Reynolds, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The American right-back is interested in a move, but the Belgian club is asking for a higher fee.
KVC Westerlo have rejected Rangers' initial offer of around €2.5 million for right-back Bryan Reynolds, reports Sacha Tavolieri. Although Reynolds is said to be open to a move to Ibrox, Westerlo remain adamant that they will not sell the defender for such a low price.
There is already a history of trade between the two teams, including Tuur Rommens' move from Westerlo to Rangers just a few months ago. After acquiring the left back, the Rangers seem to be going back for the right back in the person of Reynolds.

In past seasons, Reynolds has been a vital outlet on offense from the right for Westerlo. The 24-year-old American full-back joins Westerlo from Roma in 2022 after a 2021/22 loan spell at Kortrijk.
Since then, he has played nearly 150 games for Westerlo, recording 10 assists and five goals. Prior to his move to Europe, Reynolds started out in Dallas before being snapped up by Roma in 2021, where he made just eight official appearances before finally landing in Belgium.
If the Rangers come back with a slightly higher offer, Westerlo would likely be open to letting Reynolds go. The player is also expected to want this move to boost his chances of representing his country, especially since he was not included in the previous World Cup squad.
