Germany: Roma interested in Denis Undav — Stuttgart striker renews until 2029

After bursting into the German national team, interest from Roma, Milan and others sprung up in Denis Undav. Two days before leaving for the World Cup, he signed a new contract with Stuttgart until 2029.

Denis Undav emerged as Germany's new hero after the last few weeks: he scored three goals in his first two matches for the national team, including a brace to help the comeback win against Ivory Coast. Because of this, his reputation quickly rose and was put on the radar of big clubs in Europe.

According to a report by German newspaper Bild, several teams have inquired with Stuttgart about Undav's situation—especially as his current contract is set to expire in 2027. Among the interested clubs is Roma, who are looking for a striker to pair with Malen in attack. Como was also mentioned and above all AC Milan, who have already had a conversation with the player's entourage.

The report also said there was interest from several Spanish and Arab clubs. However, Undav has a clear intention to clarify his future before the start of the World Cup: two days before leaving for the tournament, he signed a new contract with Stuttgart until 2029, with an option for another year. According to the report, this raises his salary to around €5.5 million per season.

Undav's rapid rise in coach Nagelsmann's national team, and interest from Serie A and other markets, will add a new dimension to the transfer market discussion as the World Cup approaches.
