Fabio Cannavaro, clarified the normal security for Uzbekistan on arrival in the US for the World Cup

Fabio Cannavaro, coach of Uzbekistan, insisted that the security measures taken upon their arrival in America are a common process during the World Cup, and nothing should be misinterpreted about it.

Fabio Cannavaro, head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, has issued a clarification regarding the reportedly tight security they experienced when they arrived in the United States for the FIFA World Cup. According to Cannavaro, this is a normal part of the preparation for every World Cup and it should not be an issue.

"I saw in some newspapers the photos of the security done to us at the airport as the national team of Uzbekistan. I also read some wrong headlines so I want to clarify. They are just a normal process," Cannavaro said on his social media.

Cannavaro added, "Many people don't know that when national teams involved in the World Cup travel, they don't go through the regular airport terminal but the team bus directs us to the runway itself. The normal inspections of regular passengers in the terminal, for us, are carried out right on the runway. That's the process. There should be no big issue here."

The coach further clarified that there is no alleged ill treatment of their team. Before their friendly match against the Netherlands, they also underwent the usual examination and this is normal for every match. "There is no difference. Before every match, the teams really go through an examination—at the hotel before traveling or directly at the venue, as it happened to us. The truth is, the organization here is very good," said Cannavaro.

This statement is in response to what appears to be misinformation about the alleged unusual security imposed on them. The coach assured that this is just part of the strict security enforcement for all World Cup delegations.
